“Integrating Market and Competence Based Advantages for Sustainability”

In today’s turbulent environments, market has gone far beyond the traditional product-based and taken on an increasingly new look, with its nature and rules changing fundamentally. Companies are challenging to build and enhance competence based advantages to win competition. Companies need capabilities to integrate market and internal condition through competence based to achieve not only the competition but also the sustainable condition. PPM Regional Business Case Competition challenges graduate students in management from all over Southeast Asia + China, which are younger than 30 years old and in team of 3 persons, to develop and present solution of a very interesting and challenging case study. The report will be graded on analysis quality, idea, originality and theory relevance to select 12 teams as finalist. The winner will be selected among finalists through a debate.

IMPORTANT DATES

Case analysis report submission deadline : August 27, 2012
Finalists announcement : September 17, 2012
Welcoming Ceremony for Finalists : October 10, 2012
Business Case Competition Final : October 11, 2012

VENUE
Finalists are required to attend the Regional Business Case Competition final at Jakarta, Indonesia. Accommodation of participants from outside the city will be provided by the host.

FEES
Registration fees are 600,000 (IDR) per team for domestic students and 100 (USD) per team for international students. The winners of the previous RBCC are not allowed to participate in this event.

4th Winner : 550 USD

ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATION:
Abstract Submission:
1. Abstract strictly not more than 250 words in one paragraph.
2. Times New Roman; Capitalized titles in 14 font size; body in 12 font size.
3. Must be written in English.
4. Note the Sub-Theme on the top left of the Abstract.
5. Deadline: 30 September 2012

Full Paper Submission:
1. Full paper (including abstract and bibliography) not more than 10 pages.
2. Paper size is 21 x 29.5 cm (A4).
3. 3 cm top and bottom margin; 2.5 cm left and right margin.
4. Times New Roman; capitalized titles in 14 font size; body in 12 font size.
5. 1.5 line spacing.
6. Bibliography must be in alphabetical order.
7. Must be written in English.
8. Covering: title, author(s) and affiliation(s), short introduction, objectives,
methodology, result and conclusion, acknowledgments, and references.
9. Deadline: 1 November 2012

Poster Submission:
1. Must submit abstract and full paper (see Abstract Submission and Full Paper Submission).
2. Poster size is 80 x 120 cm; Portrait lay out (A2).
3. Must be written in English.

methodology, result and conclusion, acknowledgments, and references.

Oral Presentation:
1. Time allocation is 15 minutes (10 minutes presentation and 5 minutes
discussion).
2. Computer-aided projectors are provided.
3. Please note that Macintosh computers are not available.
